Leverage example

To buy one Bitcoin (say it’s priced at $10,000, you need to have at least $10,000 in capital/equity.

However, when 10:1 leverage is employed, you only need to have $1,000 in capital/equity to buy one Bitcoin. When higher leverage is used, say 20:1, then you only need to have $500 in your account to buy one Bitcoin.

20:1 $10,000 $500 20:1 leverage allows the traders to buy one Bitcoin with only 1/20 in capital.
Current Price $10,000 / 20 Leverage = $500
